论文表达：阿拉伯数字和（不）等式的使用要点

  英文论文中常使用阿拉伯数字，但使用上也有一些注意要点。

  1）阿拉伯数字不能放在句首

  错误 12 parameters were selected for the experiment.

  正确 Twelve parameters were selected for the experiment.

  2）阿拉伯数字用于提供数据而非一般信息

  错误 All 3 studies concluded that the mean temperature should be 30°C.

  正确 All three studies concluded that the mean temperature should be 30°C.

  （不）等式一般不放在句中：

  错误：When the temperature > 30°C, this substance will be molten.

  正确：When the temperature is higher than 30°C, this substance will be molten.
