  一篇优质的SCI论文离不开具有说服力的结果（Results）。在结果（Results）部分，为了展现原始数据，论文中经常会采用文字和图表相结合的方式，以确保研究的透明性。那么如何用英语表述图表信息以及描述数据变化趋势呢？小编整理了以下实用句型，快快学习起来吧！

  1、描述图、表的信息

  我们通常用“table”表示表格，“figure”表示图。表示“描述”、“展现”等可以用动词“depict”、“show”、“demonstrate”等。例：

  The xxx may be depicted as in Figure 2.

  Figure 1 shows/displays/demonstrates the impact of the baseline values.

  Figure 2 gives the outline of ... ...

  Figure 7-1 sketches these relationships.

  The graphical representation of functions is shown in Figure 1.

  2. 数据最大/最小值描述

  在描述数据的最大/最小值时，我们可以采用以下句型：

  Production of XX reached a low point in 1990.

  3. 数据趋势描述

  表达数据上升我们可以说“an increase of”“a rise of”“go up”，描述数据下降则可以说“drop from…to…”“an decrease of”“go down”等等。例：

  The level of xxx rose suddenly.

  There is an upward trend in the number of...…

  A considerable increase/decrease occurred from...to...

  From this year on, there was a gradual decline/reduction in the....

  ...(year) witnessed/saw a sharp rise in...

  表述预测趋势可用以下句型：

  The rate of Z is likely to reach.../rise to.../increase.

  The number of Xs is expected to be as high as...

  The amount of Y will probably/is projected to decline by.../drop sharply/ remain steady.
